Legal Question in Family Law in California

not sure what to do?

welfare dept needs my sons socialsec. card and birth certificate. his mother wont give them to me. i can't get them from the agencies that provide them due to lack of funds and a short deadline. is this illegal?

you should request them in writing and them file a motion with the court to get a court order.
