welfare

I was given full custody of our 3 kids.

My divorce isn't final yet but my soon

to be ex-wife is asking me for money or

she says she has to go on welfare and

that the state will come after me. Is

this true? ty

She might be able to get general assistance. You should go to court and obtain an order that she is to seek and obtain employment. The court should also determine whether there is an obligation for you to pay spousal support.
