Legal Question in Family Law in California
My ex wife (who lives in California) made me think that she had full custody of our children (which wasn't true. She will not provide me with grades, allow me to make school decisions, keeps them from visiting me in Atlanta. The children do not wish to be with her, she has had child protective services called on her twice, their grades have gone down, my 14 year old son got arrested for shoplifting and she hit him in the face with a belt once while trying to spank him. My children are 17, 14, 11 & 7. I found out recently that she doesn't have sole custody according to a hearing that she filed for secretly. However I never showed up because I didn't know about it and she never showed at all. It has been 4 years since we split and she moved back to California with them against my will. There are many other details I can provide from emails & text messages to recorded phone calls and letters from my children and her own cousin and friends against her. What should I do to get my children?
