Legal Question in Family Law in California

my wife and i are sepperate but haven't gotten a divorce and we both still have full custody of our son but she mooved with him to another state and i cant get there to see him but i dont want a battle over cutody i just want to be able to see my son and she denied me the summer we were supposed to get together how would i go about getting my son? and is it even a legal matter?

Well yes, it's a legal matter if she refuses to allow you to visit your son and she moved out of state. I don't know how else you could compel her to change her mind except to ask the intervention the courts.
