Legal Question in Family Law in California

My wife and I split up two years ago and she soon after filed fire divorce, I responded but didn't do the responce correctly and since then neither one of us took the time to finish it. Now I want it done and she refuses to take care of it. What can I do to take care of this myself and will I have to wait the six month waiting period.

You should make sure that you have an answer filed. Then file the paper work to set the matter for trial. A date will be set for a trial. at the trial the marriage will be dissolved and the other issues will be resolved. Obtaining the services of an attorney will make it easier to complete the process.
