Legal Question in Family Law in California
How will courts handle back taxes in divorce?
If one owes back taxes, including unpaid payroll
deductions from a failed business, and an agreement
with the IRS has been reached, will the courts notify
the IRS and Board of Equalization of any change of
marital status? If so, what are the possible
consequences?

Normally the courts do not notify anyone of anything other than the parties themselves.

You may want to first consult a tax attorney about this question, but eventhough family court's may make orders regarding payment of community back taxes, however generally family court's are not in the business of reporting terminaton of marital status.
