Will I get custody? What are chances?
My husb struck my 10 yr old for the 1st time. He is left with bruises & abraisions. I did not witness this and when I came home, immediatly took my 10 yr old to emergency, where they then called cops and arrested my husb. I have a court date on Monday to decide if I permanantly get children. Is there a chance that they can take children away frm me?

Depending upon the county there is a real possibility that you child will be in a foster home for a period of time. You will have to convince the juvenile court and department of social services that you will not allow your husband to return to the family home or have contact with your son without the permission of the court. Retaining an attorney immediately will be in your best interests.
