Legal Question in Family Law in California

Will

My godmother past away and was like a second mother to me. She help raise me until I was abot 11 years old.

Her biological son had the power of attorney and was the executor of her estate. I wanted to see a copy of my godmother's will when she past and he refused. Is there anyway I can get a copy of the will and if there was anything left to me how would I know?

Re: Will

Well you can go to court and pull the file to see if you're named in the will. If you're named, then the executor is required to give you notice. So make sure the executor knows where you live.
