Legal Question in Family Law in California

Thank you Mr. Simpson for responding. My son lives in FL and the will of his grandfather was done in San Diego CA - he does not know the Law Office that created it. His grandfather passed in 2003/4 I believe. His father, you would think would provide this information, but his response to my son is ''why do you want to know''. Can he call the San Diego court & make the request for a copy?
