When the woman re-marries, does the man have to still pay alimony?

If after a divorce, the woman re-marries, does the ex husband that is paying her on a monthly basis, have to still pay alimony? With the 2 working spouses now, the household income will increase considerably, leaving the single dad struggling.

Spousal support almost always terminates upon the remarriage of the supported spouse. You should have the judgment or order reviewed by an attorney to confirm that the order is for spousal support solely. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
