Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was wondering if there is anyway to become emancipated ( im 17) for a short period of time for traveling reasons> My parents would agree to do this so that I could travel and be in charge of myself. I'm in a pipe band and were traveling to scotland for the world championships. Is there anyway to do this so my parents dont have to come and my band doesnt have to be legally responsible for me?

All you need is parental permission. Kids under 18 travel with groups internationally all the time.
