i have just got word that someone is trying to serve me with dna request. for a child that is about 5 or 6 years old, and has another man on the birth certificate, and i believe is paying child support. what are my rights and options . i do not think this kid is mine and have not spoken to this girl inn 5 or so years

They will eventually serve you one way or another. If you think they gave up, what really will have happened is they got an order to serve you by publication. So then you will have orders entered against you with no chance to respond. Accept the service, go through the process and if the child is not yours you'll have proof and if the child is yours you can step up to your responsibilities, and rights as a father.
I suggest that you appear and have the DNA test. If you are excluded, it will exclude you and they will go after someone else. You may want to get an attorney who is familiar with paternity actions to represent you.
