Legal Question in Medical Leave in California
My daughter is 31 unmarried and was working two jobs. She has been having serious migraine headaches. One of her employers said she can take a medical leave, the other job is with the state of Calif. as part time College teacher (hit with the budget cuts) the position was terminated. How can she get some help financially? Is there unemployment, workers comp., disability or another program?

If a physician will testify that the work caused or aggravated the headaches they she can apply for WC. In the meantime, if she can not work she can get state disability. She gets unemployment only if she is able to work at a job but was let go. she should speak to the Human Resources Department at her school.
