Legal Question in Medical Leave in California

FMLA - Pregnancy Discrimination

I recently took FMLA leave for my own serious medical condition due to pregnancy complications. The day I was to return to work I was terminated, based on employers motive to terminate prior to leave. I had no indication they planned to take this action.

I have filed a complaint with the DFHE, based on Discrimination where else can I obtain info. on other legal cases relating to Pregnancy Discrimination with mixed motives or preponderance on my part?

Re: FMLA - Pregnancy Discrimination

You might look at CA Govt. Code Sects. 12945 and 12945.2, and cases such as Carr v. Barnabeys Hotel, 23 Cal. App. 4th 14 (1994). If you had a good work record and you worked in LA county and you wish to discuss, call us at 818-990-1340 and speak to Lynn.
