Legal Question in Medical Leave in California
How does a levy for support arrears on a bank account work? Is it only good for the day the bank receives the levy or does it last the entire life of the account? In other words, if I have $100 in my account on 1/1/01, the bank receives the levy on the same day, do they take the money (up to the amount owed)?
and, what if I have $100 in my account on 1/1/01, take my money out to leave a $0 balance on 1/2/01, the bank receives the levy on 1/3/01 (no money to take out) and finally, I put $100 back into my account on 1/4/01 - will the bank take my money on 1/4/01 or is the levy only good for 1/3/01?
