Legal Question in Medical Leave in California

Multiple Request for FMLA

Does the Law allow for more than one request for Family Leave Act in a single one-year period: i.e. request for leave to care for parent, request for leave for care for infant, request for leave to care for spouse. Total requests - 36 weeks in a single year?

Can one request 12-week for FMLA and an additional 12-weeks under California Family Leave Act?
