Legal Question in Medical Leave in California

Pregnancy Disability Leave

I was wondering if I was on Pregnancy Disability leave and I decided I did not want to go back to work, would I get in trouble for that and have to pay back for the money I was given for disability? I am pregnant and am planning on moving away from my work area while on pregnancy leave, and I am not sure I want to come back to work so I am just wondering if I could get in trouble for this or not. Thank you! :)

Re: Pregnancy Disability Leave

You won't have to repay disability benefits received during the time you were on disability. But you may have to repay the employer's payment of medical insurance premiums they made for you based upon the expectation that you were going to return, assuming you were out on FMLA.
