Legal Question in Medical Leave in California

Pregnant daughter needs bed rest & care after delivery

My pregnant daughter has been told she will need some home care after delivery. What type of Family Medical Leave am I entitled to from my employer? This is my daughter's 3rd child. My son-in-law is self employeed (Himself & one part time employee). Thank you

Re: Pregnant daughter needs bed rest & care after delivery

If your daughter requires your assistance to care for her after her pregnancy, and you can provide your employer with medical documentation to support this, you may take up to 12 weeks of family leave, assuming you have been with the employer of at least 50 employees within 75 miles, on a full-time basis for at least one year. You must request family leave as early as possible and ask that the employer confirm the grant of family leave in writing.
