Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

On 5/29/2010, I had two concert tickets of the worth of approx. $200, stolen over ticketmaster. One of my friends (F1) disclosed my ticketmaster information to one of her friends (F2), and as a result the tickets were printed out, and used before I was able to use my own. My friend (F1) has admitted to me that she disclosed the information, and (F2) has also admitted guilt. My question is... Who, if anybody, is legally responsible for the cost of the tickets and what would be the best steps to take to get the money back?

I'd say they're both responsible, and Small Claims would be the best way to go. You could also file a petty theft complaint with the police.

If your "friends" were real friends they would each give you $100 and that would be the end of it. Going to small claims court and/or filing a police report will be a waste of time and effort. Even if you get a judgment for $200, if your friend won't pay and you have to collect it will cost you more than you recover. This is one of those good lessons that you learned on the cheap. Never share any online access information with anyone one.
