Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

my 18 year old daughter was involved in an egging insident where she was the driver of a vehicle registered to me her father, had two 18 year old boys in vehicle that threw the eggs, the property owners witnessed the egging followed them and got the licence plate which brought cops to my house, now the property owners have put a small claims law suit against me the vehicle registered owner, i threw no eggs my daughter threw no eggs, am i at fault

No yolk, your daughter egged them on, so she is just as mixed up in this as if she had done the actual egging. In other words, the lawsuit won't be over easy. You could possibly turn around and file a lawsuit against the eggers, but I'd lay odds they'll be able to beat it back.
