12 year old has eating disorder parents didnt know child told teacher 1 year ago and asked teacher to tell her parents teacher told child he can't tell them. He watched this child starve and said nothing. Can this school be sued?

Why did the teacher not tell you? What prevented the child from telling you and why did you not see it beforehand? You would have to file a claim within 6 months of finding out about the teacher's failure to tell you [you would have an additional six months to request leave to not have filed a claim]. Had you know about it would you have been able to remedy the situation [if not, then there are no damages]. You would need to ask a specialist in educational law if the teacher has a duty to inform you of your child's medical condition. My guess would be that the case would not have a high value since a jury would wonder why your child did not tell you and you did not notice.
