Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I saw an ad in the local paper from a PI who claims to do assest seaches.

I called and asked for a report and paid $200.00 thru paypal. The PI wanted

to meet me, and I did to give me the report. The report is the same thing I can

get for free on people search.com for $5.00. I told him at this meeting that I needed

more info and thats what he had promised.Such as the business thatmy ex is running

and the real estate that he is buying under a business name. My ex owes me over

$200,000 in back support, but claims he is broke. The PI actually told my ex that

I was investigating him, after he found out that I had no money. It really thru me

that he woud do this. This PI also, asked me if I wanted to frame my ex by doing

something illegal. I simply wanted an asset check thats it. This PI was working

me and extorting me as well.He also tried to see if I was intererested in doing

something so horrible that I can't even imagine. He even e mailed my ex's ex wif

to let her know that I was investigating. What can I do? I am afriad of this dective

aka criminal. I cancelled the paypal,and now he is threating me. I am afraid for

my life. This guy is a creep. He sent me a letter saying that his "services

are no longer considered confidential and will be a matter orf public record"

her also states that the ex and his ex wife will be my character rerferences.

Well, hello he already tipped them off., and by thisI

am being extorted.

It's only $200.00 but this guy should be in prision.

It is worth taking this guy down. Its only $200.00 but this guy is a fraud, extortionist, and blackmail criminal.

I have nothing to hide and he has nothing on me accept to let my ex know

that I was looking into the finances. But he told me how he hurts people and

I am afraid.
