advice on paying back a gift
i was just contacted by a girlfriend that I stopped dating more than 6 months ago. she wrote me an e-mail stating that she was going to sue me for a computer she had bought me almost 2 years ago. she used her credit to finance the computer and had trouble paying it. i made i think one payment or two and she says i now owe her $2500. i considered this a gift and i never signed anythinng stating that i would pay her back

Looks like a gift, but you made some payments. If she proves that you made the payments she may get you for any amounts due.

Was a gift? If so why did you make a couple of payments? This sounds like anger. Work it out with her.
