Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
I agreed on a settlement with my ex-employer whom fired me wrongfully. My settlement states the defendant will make payment in full in 25 business days. This timeframe has come & gone. My attorney claims that he has not received it yet. Since I am disputing his fees my attorney is not getting any information for me. Can I contact the defendants attorney myself? Is there anyway I can find out what date payment is to be mailed?

The defendants attorney cannot ethically speak to you as long as you have an attorney. It's against the State Bar rules.
