Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Using an Alias

Is there anything illegal about using an alias email account and user name to establish communication with someone who refuses to communicate directly with me? I am trying to prove to a small claims judge that the defendant was able to communicate via email however he just refused to reply back to my personal request for payment on a loan. I have sent many requests for repayment directly to the defendant without answer however this person freely communicates with my alias on unrelated matters via email.

Thank you.

Dan

Re: Using an Alias

It's not his inability to communicate by e-mail, but whether he ever received your demand. You will have to prove that he received the demand. The best route is usually certified, return-receipt mail, along with first class mail, or have a registered process server deliver it to him, and then have the process server sign an affidavit of delivery.
