Answer a complaint

I would like to know the procedure is in California for a corporation to file or answer a suit in Pro-Per without the benefit or use of an attorney in Pro-per.

Your information would be very much appreciated.

Only individuals can appear in pro per; corporations must have counsel (except in small claims actions, where regular officers or employees can appear on behalf of the corporation). There is no way for the corporation to appear in pro per.

The law requires a corporation to be represented by a lawyer except for small claims court. I defend a lot of small companies in lawsuits and would be happy to discuss your situation in more detail without charge if you like.
