Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
I am answering a summons and there is an "Exhibit A" included for a limited civil suit. Do I attach Exhibit A (several papers) by stapling them to the answer form, and designate these papers by printing "Exhibit A" on the front page of these papers?

You have no idea what you are doing. If not losing the case is important to you, consult a lawyer.
Mr. Stone is correct; if you carefully read the Summons and Complaint you will see that that you are required to submit answers to the complaint [you can download and fill out on line a court form called a general denial answer]. You do not identify whether the Exhibit is a copy of the lease or discovery questions. There are some attorneys who have a lower hourly rate than the average; some courts have in pro per advisers.
If you are answering the complaint, and the Exhibit is to the answer, yes you simply attach it; and put an bottom tab on it.
