Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
What can I do if I am currently attending a trade school college for a paralegal career that has missed informed me about their program during my education. They got me into there programs with many lies to conviced me to join their school. Once I started attending my first class we had a teacher who dissapeared and left the class up in the air and we were obligated to borrow goverment money to pay for the class. Next we were told the our class hours are from 6-10 Monday- Thursday. Later I find out that our class scheduale is from 6-11 Monday- Friday. Some classes would end at 8 or 9 sometimes, meaning we were not getting our education compleated the way we are paying for it. We also been locked out of the building during class times and has coused for us to loose time from our education. They hire random teachers that are not qualified to educate us.
I am not sure how or where I need to start if my intentions are to pursue a law suit at this point. I am just so dissapointed along with other students about the school program. I feel we been lied and diseaved by the Sales staff of this program.
Whe do you think I should start? Can I sue?

Clearly they are ripping you off. Go to the head of the school and demand a full refund of all funds paid, pointing out that they also owe you for other out of pocket expenses, time lost, etc. If any government funds are involved inform the government agency. If they will not reimburse you anything, get all your classmates together for a joint strategy. If your losses are less than $7,500, sue in small claims court. Check to see if the school has any assets. There are several public schools that have para-legal courses, although they might take longer to complete. Check the court records to see if the trade school has been sued and contact the attorney involved after looking to see what the court file shows the case to be about. On the radio they just had a program about how 60% of students who sign up for vocational education never finish the program and many end up in large debt; I did not listen to much of the program but they supposedly had on two attorneys who have filed class action suits [KGO radio, 810 am, San Francisco, about 2 pm program on Tuesday or Wednesday, host I think named Gil].
Good luck..
I agree with Mr. Shers.
