Auto Repair Shop Negligence

What kind of lawsuit can I file against a a big name auto repair company who put my life and other peoples' lives at risk by not fixing my brakes properly which caused it to fell off? Aside from the cost of the repairs done by them and another repair shop who fixed my car, how much damage claim can I get from them?

Thank goodness no one was hurt! You might be able to get compensated for the additional pay you lost to deal with the issue (not with the lawsuit) and your momentary panic-induced stress when the brakes failed. That's about it.
