Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
I bought my ex Breast Implants, We never did a contract however I have text messages where the conversation took place about getting them where she stated that she wanted me to buy them for her so that she would look pretty during our wedding. Clearly stating that they were for looking good in our wedding dress and that she would not marry me until she got breast implants. She broke up with me less than two months later in a text message without giving me any reason and I have not heard from her since and dont even know where she lives since she moved shortly after we broke up. I was paying her rent also while she was attending college out of state, which is why she broke up with me when she did because she was done with college and didnt need me to pay her rent anymore. Is there any legal way of getting the money back that I spent on them? Also, is there any limit of time since this happened that someone may file a lawsuit. this occured a little over a year ago.

As far as I can tell, your payment for the implants was a gift. You aren't entitled to get it back now, even if you were duped into giving it. I'm sorry I can't be more encouraging.
