Breach of contract
Sold a car to a party who made a down payment and signed a contract to make monthly installments thereafter. Have not heard or received any payments since and the party's phone number has been disconnected. What immediate simple action can be taken?

there are only two options unless you have a contract that allows repossession. either wait for more payments or sue. If under $5k small claims court but you need to find them.
