Breach of Promise?

A good friend of mine has just recently broken off an

engagement. He purchased a $13,000 ring for his fiance. Now she refuses to return the ring. Does she have a right to keep the ring? Please advise. Thanks

The ring must be returned, PERIOD. There is clear and specific law on this point.
