Brought 5 month old flat screen 50" tv in for repair broke cable attachment $10 part any how ready for pick up get a call back repair man drops tv and breaks screen he wants to give back 200 repair cost and we get broken tv what should icbe getting back

You did not indicate whether to repair person has a shop that you brought your property to do be repaired. You did entrust the property to the repair person and you should get back what you expected, a repaired television or its functional equivalent, hopefully a new, working comparable television. I have two suggestions, first contact the local Better Business Bureau and see if you can negotiate a reasonable settlement. Alternatively you may want to consider suing the repair person and his shop in Small Claims Court.
