Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Out of business paging company

I have just found out that the pager company I am with has gone out of business. I did not recieve a letter stating this or a phone call for that matter. I have a 5 year contract with the company and just recently paid them more money to add a feature.

My question is, "Is there anyway for me to get my money back?" I am a student and really don't have that kind of money to throw away (no one does for that matter). I am now forced to sign up with another company in order to not loose the pager # I have now.

Looks like you're out of luck

You can go to small claims court but it is unlikely they have any assets to collect from.
