Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
Buyers Rights
Here is the background. I purchase a vehicle from a private individual. I am told many good things about the car, and I decide to buy it. Later on I find out that some of the things I was told about the vehicle where not true. What recourses do I have?
If I still want to keep the vehicle is it possible to get the seller to fix the things he misrepresented?
Thank You

Re: Buyers Rights
You have no recourse unless the seller didn't get a smog certificate for the car, or you can show that the seller rolled back the odometer, in which case you can go to small claims court and attempt to get your money back. STFW for how to buy a used car next time, at a minimum have it looked at by a mechanic and get a carfax report.
