In California is there such a thing as a "Writ of Summons" like in other states and is there a form for it?

There is a Summons form. (www.courtinfo.ca.gov/forms). Assuming you have done everything correctly, the clerk stamps the summons when you file your complaint, and your process server would then serve the defendant(s) with the Summons, the Complaint, and the other necessary documents.
