Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
What happens at a name change hearing in California? What do I need to bring along, what will be asked? I'm changing my name to my name...it was changed years ago at SS office when that was acceptable. I moved an ca needed legal documents to get a drivers license.

Most courts will tell you that the petition is approved when the hearing is called. You only have to worry if someone has filed an objection to your name change. Other than that, you need to make sure you have filled out the forms correctly and complied with the publication requirements.
