Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Hello my name is christopher angulo. I am a downey resident for most of my life. On saturday february 16 2013 At about 9:40 am i was on my way to park my semi truck on woodruff ave by mr petes burgers. When i got off on bellflower blvd off the 105 freeway east bound. I came to the light of the ramp. I had to make a wide left turn which made a blue ford explorer with california plates 4uow792 have to wait for me to turn in order for them to turn. After completing the turn i stayed in the right lane. The blue explorer the passes me thru the left lane and starts giving me the middle finger. The driver kept giving me a bad stare thru the mirror. I then turned right on imperial hwy going east bound and the explorer kept going straight down bellfower blvd northbound. After i made a left turn on woodruff i was pulled over by a downey police marked vehicle. I was asked to step out frisked and search as my vehicle was searched also. The officer then told me that the reason that i was being pulled over was that the driver of the blue explorer accused of pointing a gun at him. After searching me and my vehicle the officer assured that i didnt have a gun or anytype of weapon looking object. The driver falsely accused me of pointing a weapon at him do to his road rage. I believe that calling 911 is for emergencies and is not something to joke with or make false accusations. It not only wrong but it takes officers away from real emergencies. I do not own a weapon never have and dont plan on owning one. I am very and confused. I was asked to sit on the floor why they searched my truck and i am was embarrased that it was done in the public. People lloking at me like a criminal when i was just working minding my own business. I want to know what i can do about this. Can i press charges? I hope someone can help me answer my question. Thank you

About all you can do is ask the police to press charges for making a false police report and 911 call. Whether or not charges will be brought is up to the prosecutor.

The may be a civil suit but yiu would have to weigh the costs and would be pretty difficult to prove damages that a court would award.. That is if you get get the driver's name etc and he had any thing to take...
