Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Class Action Suit VS LUCKY's Grocery Stores

I was named in the class action suit against Lucky's Stores regarding discriniation against women in regards to full time/management positions...We won this class action suit....But I was told that I could not be found (I have been a union menber for 22 years) and that my share of the suit was given to charity.. I contacted my union and I was listed on my withdrawl card as living at my current address.. How could they not find me ??? And how could they possibly give my money to charity??? Is there some kind of leagl recourse I can do to reclaim my fair share of this lawsuit.... The payoff was supposed to be given in 1995 to 1996..Please let me know what my options, if any, are...

Thank you,

Re: Class Action Suit VS LUCKY's Grocery Stores

The class action attorneys may have been negligent in not

finding you, if you were properly listed with the union. Or,

your failure to keep the attorneys informed of an address (if you had

specific contact with them) may have been negligence of your own.

You can try to contact the attorneys and demand the monies from them.

I cannot tell any more without reviewing more of the settlement materials.
