Depending on your county, you may be able to look up the law suit on-line at the Superior Court web site. If not, you can go to the court house and look up that information (it is public information).

According to your zipcode, you are in Santa Clara County. You can find information about cases online here: http://www.scselfservice.org/civ/faq/CVA3.htm

I agree with Mr. Jefferson, though determining which county (and which courthouse within that county) the lawsuit was filed in can be difficult. In principle it is possible that the lawsuit was filed in another state, or even another country. Even if it was filed here in California, it may be in a federal court rather than a state court.

You surely have more information than you put into your question, so hopefully you have at least some idea where to start looking.

Everybody has the same idea and its right, check the various court's websites. You can find the sites by googling name of the county superior. Some courts have better searchable websites than others. Sometimes if you go to the law library the searches work better as is the case in Alameda where you need the case number to do an online search but if you go to one of their access centers you can just enter the name.

It would help to know either who sued your company or in which county they were sued. Also if they were sued in Federal court you would need to check there to. If you knew the name of the people who sued your company you could call them and ask who their attorney is. Just don't make that call from work!

Good luck.
