Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

In my Complaint, I have an Exhibit A that has 157 pages numbered A1, A2, A3, etc. to page A157, the pages A40 and A41 are missing, and page A42 is altered, and several other pages have the page number at the bottom either partially or completely erased. What should I do about this?

Presuming you have not yet filed the complaint, you should indicate in some fashion what the page number is. Put it in bracket, add a blank page numbered with the missing page labelled intentionally blank, etc. The major question is why you are attaching something so long to the Complaint. Usually the contract being sued on, a three day notice, etc. might be attached but not something that is merely evidence.

What's the point of all those exhibits? The purpose of the complaint is to plead your case, generally, not submit every piece of evidence you intend to use later.
