Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

contract law

I attended a seminar for a timeshare purchase without my wife and reluctantly signed up when my wife saw the ridicules terms of this contract she told me to cancel so I did they said that the 7 days for cancellation was up come to find out that in CA. its 45 days regardless (see people v. trendwest ) they dragged it on now its past even the 45 days but I was told that my wife had to be there in order for any contract of this nature could be put on the table so my question is can I get out from under this. p.s. they knew I was married as I told them I wanted to talk to my wife first also the seller said to me I could cancel within a year but I dont have that in writing. thank you for your help
