Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

My dad had a stroke 2 years ago. I got POA, and he moved into my house. Now he thinks he has healed enough to move out. I dont think so. Can I stop him? If he does get out and hurt someone or himself, can I be held responsible because of the POA?

Unless a Court has granted you a conservatorship over your father, generally referred to as a conservatorship of the person, you can't prevent him from moving out of your house. However, just becuase you have a POA you should not be responsible if he were to have an accident and hurt someone. That does not mean that someone might not try to make a claim against you.
