Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I have a daughter that I came find out she hates my guts and came in my home and stole 6,000.0worth of my belongings. She walk out my house when I was taking a shower! She refuse to answer either email or phone. I got a police report and file charges. this town is so slow. Since she livs in another county up North. What makes this so horrible I had a stroke the first time , and I had knee replacement and confine to the bed. I by myself and I don't have anyone to help to check my things and I been on disability and I can replace these things ..........I work hard for things ....she even took my work and dress clothes and left one pair of pants. I want to suffer and pay for the crime...because she will steal and rob again. Help................................

I'm sure you meant to say you want HER to pay for the crime. You did everything you could, cops being cops it will be a pleasant surprise if they do anything.
