Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
When defendant motion to change venue is granted and you you pay court to transfer the case to different county, DO you have to serve your Summons and Complaint again???

No, you do not have to serve the summons and complaint again. Defendant has 30 days to respond after the transferee court (the court receiving the transferred case) mailes notice that the case has been received, and of its new case number. (Code Civ. Proc., sect. 586, subd. (a)(6(B).)
