Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
I'm the defendant in a unlimited civil case that I lost through binding arbitration. I haven't received any paperwork from the plaintiff to confirm the award yet. Can I file a opposition to confirm it and how do I do that. I live in California.

If you agreed to binding arbitration, you are stuck. Are you sure this was binding? It would not be, unless there was a contractual requirement or you agreed to it.

I suggest you speak more at length with an attorney. There are different forms of alternative dispute resolution. One type is called judicial arbitration, but can be set aside if timely challenged. So it is not truly binding. Other types are binding. There are also ways to set those aside, depending on what they were.
