drop lawsuit and end attorney relationship

I have become involved in a class action suit and signed a retainer agreement with an attorney. I would like to drop my complaint and terminate my agreement with the attorney. What do I need to state in my letter to the attorney to accomplish this.

Hello.

Your agreement should provide for the way you can terminate your agreement.

But the letter should be fairly simple: "I, __________, hereby wish to terminate my attorney-client relationship with your firm."

If the complaint was filed, however, you will most likely need to do it through court motion or stipulation.
