Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

embelzing money

The company I had gone to interview with had promised my travel reimbursement. I have email from them to that effect. I have submitted in person the expense details( flight and lodging) and they had emailed that the payment has been processed and ready to be sent out. after this I have neither received the money nor any update on it. They are no longer responsive to email/ phone call by me. The reimbursement amount is around $700.00. Kindly advise on how to deal with this.

Please write to the California Labor Commissioner, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement and ask them to file a claim against the company. Look up the nearest DLSE office to the company and use that address. If this does not work, write me back.

Take them to small claims court.
