Employee Termination

what happens if you are fire by an equal and not your superior? If the person does not have the authorization to fire you, how can you protect yourself?

Of course, his answer is only correct if the person who ostensibly fired you really had no authority to do so. You might be mistaken about her authority. What matters is how much authority she actually had at the time, not how much you believe she had.

If the person has no authority to fire you, then you are not fired. Just show up to work until someone with authority tells you otherwise.
