Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California
Facebook Posting
An individual posted a video on facebook that he knew would be detrimental to me career in an effort to get in contact with me and for me to break up with my girlfriend. This caused me being terminated from my job. He has also in the past tried to produce lies about me by leaving me voicemails and text messages the he knew my girlfriend would find that were detrimental to my character. He is not a U.S. citizen. Do i have any legal standing here?

Re: Facebook Posting
So sue the guy. Sue for up to $7500 in small claims court, or pay a lawyer to sue him for more. It won't be worth suing unless he has a job, money or property. Watch out for legal time limits.

You may have an action. It is fact specific however, and there is a chance of a motion under the anti-s.l.a.p.p. act. Contact me directly.
